ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids will be received by the York Township Board of Commissioners, the “Owner”, for the following contract: 19-04: S. Queen (SR74) and Country Club Rd. (SR2064) signal upgrade project. The bids will be received until 2:15 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2019, after which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the public meeting room at the Township Administration Office, 190 Oak Road, Dallastown, PA 17313.
All bids shall be submitted in an opaque envelope and must be plainly marked for the applicable contract being bid. Bids may be hand-delivered, mailed or overnighted to the Owner at 190 Oak Road, Dallastown, PA 17313, Attn. Scott A. DePoe, Director of Public Works, and will be considered if received prior to the time and date mentioned herein. The Owner assumes no responsibility for bids mailed but not received. No facsimile or emailed bids shall be permitted.
Bidding documents may be secured at the Public Works Office: 194 Oak Road, Dallastown, PA 17313 Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM. Bidding documents can also be sent via e-mail upon request by the bidder. Telephone inquiries regarding the availability of such documents for bidding should be directed to 717-741-3861 ext.170.
All bids must be accompanied by cash, certified check, money order, or bid bond with corporate surety made payable to York Township in the minimum amount of 10% of the bid price.
Notice is hereby given to bidders that contract 19-04 is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as amended.
All bids shall remain irrevocable for 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof or such longer period of time pursuant to Act 317 of 1978. It is the intent of the Owner to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder at a regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting held within sixty (60) days after the actual date of bid opening.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities, the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, and the right to award a base bid, an alternate bid or any combination thereof in accordance with the bidding instructions, which, in its sole discretion, is in the best interest of the Owner.
