York Township (26 square miles in size, population approx. 28,500), a first-class township located in southern Pa, is currently accepting applications to fill the positions of Human Resources Administrator/Recycling Coordinator. Human Resources Administrator/Recycling Coordinator
Start Time: Position start time is April 2020.
The Human Resources Administrator/Recycling Coordinator’s responsibilities will focus on coordinating benefits, policies and procedures for all employees, providing interpretation and guidance on employee matters relating to the Township handbook, job descriptions and benefits as well as maintaining records and completing the annual recycling reporting to York County and State of Pennsylvania for mandatory recycling issues under Acts 101 and 140. In addition, this position is responsible for developing and implementing various personnel policies of the Township, maintaining and ensuring confidentiality of all personnel records and administering all employee benefits. This employee is also the appointed position of the Recycling Coordinator by the Board of Commissioners as required in Act 140.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field and a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in the human resources field or any equivalent combination of education and experience and knowledge of federal and state employment laws, knowledge of employee benefit plans, a basic understanding of accounting and ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) and capabilities in Microsoft Office.
This position is non-bargaining. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits package.
