York County’s Emergency Rent Assistance Program

York County’s Emergency Rent Assistance Program (ERAP) is now accepting applications for rent relief and utility assistance for residents. Community Progress Council (CPC) has been selected by York County to disperse $13 million in federal relief to those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before starting the application process, review the list of qualifications. You can find the qualifications here: EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM – Community Progress Council (yorkcpc.org) Qualifications include, being a York County Resident, renting a home or apartment, being able to demonstrate financial impact related to COVID-19 and more. Each applicant will have to create an account, complete all required fields, and upload necessary documents, as directed. By creating an account, you can start the application and finish it a later date if necessary. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

The program can be used to cover rent for up to 12 months – to cover past, current, and/or future monthly rent. This can also be used to cover arrearages only (past due amounts) of utilities, including electric, natural gas, water, sewer, and trash.
